As of April 28, 2026, marijuana subject to a state medical marijuana license - and marijuana in FDA-approved drug products - is a Schedule III controlled substance under federal law (21 U.S.C. §812). Adult-use, unlicensed, and synthetically derived THC products remain Schedule I. Marijuana is not an FDA-approved treatment for most conditions, and the evidence for medical use continues to evolve. Educational information only, per FTC Health Products Compliance Guidance. Patient-reported benefits do not guarantee individual results. Cannabis may worsen certain conditions or interact with medications, and is not suitable for everyone, including during pregnancy or with certain medical conditions. HIPAA-compliant (45 CFR 160/164). Physician certification and state approval are separate processes. Always consult your healthcare provider.
